Hina Taufiq's poem on the sad event of 16th December Peshawar Massacre

Enough with the killings, Enough with the bloodshed, Enough with the suicidal, Enough with the pain, What can we do to stop this bloody revenge game? What can we do to spread love & happiness? What can we do to make Pakistan a safe haven, a peaceful country once again? Neither am I a mother, nor am I a relative of the children who lost their precious lives in the Peshawar’s tragic incident, I’m just a human, who can feel the pain, I’m just a writer expressing my sorrow through the power of my pen. 16 th  December is now an even more mournful day for us all, It’s time to change things around, Raise our voice and fight the evil, Before more humans die and bodies fall. Watch the innocent get killed and let this go on forever, Or, stand up, speak now and say no to killings, be it today, or ever. Let’s leave our differences behind and unite as one, Before another brutal act of killing is done, Our oneness is our strength, Our weapon to...

PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

I have always been the oyster   (someone who keeps secrets)  to many secrets or you can say that I have been very discreet when it comes to discussing secrets of others. After having a detailed analysis of my past experiences with lots of people and friends, I have come to a conclusion that one common thing is that everyone has problems; irrespective of being small or big, but the fact is that everyone have problems! Its not about being pessimistic or too complaining about little issues, its not about being the crybaby but the reality is one day or the other  we all do complain  about  petty issues  and that’s a  FACT . We all do complain, think too much and then get depress because we accumulate a lot of other grievances and frustrations all together. So, I have come to two conclusions on my own but I surely believe they work to great extent: 1) Most of us are not lonely, tense or depress (unless one intentionally decides to be)...

Time repeats itself !

The incident or story which I am going to share with you is a real life story told by my very close friend. This is 100% true and without any exaggeration, and my friend told this thing as his personal experience which I am sharing with you people.  I would not share the original names since this might not be considered good but all I am going to share is in good spirit and for a purpose. This story is about an old man (Let’s call him Dada) and his children, some people might feel that it’s sounding like movies and especially “Baghban” but trust me it’s a real life incident. Dada has 3 sons; the youngest son (aging around 37-38) is a special person with mental illness and physical disabilities (almost bedridden and can’t speak or stand up without anyone’s support). The eldest son is in Austalia for the last 20+ years and the other son has recently gone to Australia few years back. Dada used to live with dadi and his youngest son (special child, let’s call him Chachu) in K...

Love at First Sight

Last year I went to perform Umrah, while staying at Madinah, we met a family who were our acquaintance through some close relatives. They live somewhere far from Jeddah and came here in their own vehicle. They were 5 members with 3 kids, 2 of them were girls and 1 was a boy. Out of those kids I got attracted towards a girl named Khadija, she was cute, extra slim, a little bit curly haired and bright shiny eyes. I felt she was a bit shy and found her a little bit hesitant towards asking me for a mango which she saw in the fridge. The other two kids were bold enough to ask for mangoes and apples but she silently sat in my lap and did not utter a single word until I asked her. She nodded when I asked if she wanted a mango and gave it to her which she happily took from my hand and ran towards her mother to get it cut with the knife.Maybe I was missing my niece that day but the innocence of that child mesmerized me, I don’t know how it happened but I got attracted to t...
